Of all the specialist companies I contacted, Dyers Metal Mesh had the best website by far, and I found the process of ordering to be very smooth and reassuring. Delivery was swift and my overall customer experience was first class. We used 3 sheets of your stainless steel mesh which we painted with dark green Hammerite using washing-up sponges. The mesh was tensioned using claw hammers and pinned to the sleepers with staples. For tidiness we added another level of sleepers and bound the sheets of mesh with black cable ties. The finished cover happily supports an adult's weight and we hope will keep our little ones safe for many years to come.

You might be interested to see the result of my purchase earlier in the year. As you see the plants protrude through the mesh and the grass grows up at the sides so it can be mown with care. Using the mild steel bearers the mesh will take the weight of an average adult so small children are quite safe. The mesh cuts easily with a Black and Decker scorpion saw.
